Addiction

Hi my name's Lydia and I'm addicted to Essie Mint Candy Apple. I've only had this polish for a few months and I've nearly got through half a bottle. Yes I have a problem. So of course I had to have mani with Mint Candy Apple, because it being on my toes is just not enough for me so I decided to go for this little striped and floral number. The lines could have been neater (luckily the flowers cover those up though :P) but I don't have the steadiest hands in the world... aahhh I hate doing freehand stripes so much!

Polishes I used:
Essie - Mint Candy Apple
Konad Special Nail Polish - White
Collection 2000 - Ninja (best name ever, flower leaves)
Barry M - Peach Melba (Flowers)
Essie - Braziliant (Flowers)

Blingtastic Pink Wednesday

Hey! For this Pink Wednesday I was in a bit of a sparkly mood, I wanted bling and I wanted sparkle... so that's exactly what I did, haha! This was my first time putting gems on my nails, and boy is it fiddly business! Took me forever to get the flowers looking right! The pink is an unnamed Bourjois polish, as you may know I hate when polishes don't have names!!! Then I did 2 coats of Collection 2000 Sparkle Top Coat and  I added some gems which were from ebay.

I got bored of all the flowers and decided to just have a green line of bling on my thumbs, kind of like a flower stalk. (I was trying to stay within the flower theme...)

P.S. I can't believe I've got over 100 followers! Thanks to everyone who's followed me and reads my posts! I love you all!

Nail Fail

Hey! I love when my titles rhyme :P I've had no time for blogger lately and it makes me so sad, I need to find more time for it! Anway, today I have for you a nail fail, I just hate how the blue isn't pastel like the other colours! In hindsight a lighter blue would have looked better but I wanted all the polishes I used to be Barry M Ice Cream polishes. The polishes are Barry M's Berry, Blueberry and Stawberry Ice Cream with a coat of Collection 2000 Sparkle Top Coat on top.

Pink Wednesday, Yo

Really quick post. My nails look super gross, I really should have cleaned up better! The pink is Collection 2000 Siren, the white and black are Konad Special Nail Polish and the stamp is BM-223.

I'll upload a better picture tomorrow when I'm not under the influence of alcohol.

Birthday Presents and Weekly Haul

For my birthday my sister got me some nail goodies!

Yaaay! Pretty rhinestones! Can't wait to bling my nails out with these!

Dotting tools! No longer will I have to ruin bobby pins, haha.

My mum baked me some super yummy chocolate and orange cupcakes for my birthday, with pink icing of course.

Yum!
Now here's the things I've brought this week:

Barry M Pink Iridescent and Collection 2000 Siren

I'm so excited about this! Look at that holo glitter!

I've been really good at not buying nail polish recently, these are the first I've brought in nearly a month! I'm very proud with myself.

A Very Late Pink Wednesday

I've been such a bad blogger lately, can't believe I haven't posted in a week! I've missed blogging and reading blogs! My birthday was yesterday, I turned 20, so I've been celebrating that all week. I'm feeling very old right now! I have lots of nail posts planned for the next few days though, so I thought I'd start off with my Pink Wednesday nails.

I've seen these butterfly wing nails on a few blogs so I decided to give that a go. Base colour is Siren by Collection 2000, the black is Andrea Fulerton nail pen thing and the white was Konad Special Nail Polish.

Make Up Haul

So I think I might have brought a little to much this week, I'm blaming exam stress though and the fact maths is REALLY depressing. So here's what I brought:

I ran out of my matte top coat, so I brought another one. I've wanted a yellow since my last one dried all up and went horrible and I've finally got around to buying a new one, it's called Sunshine, how cute! My friends ALWAYS moan that I don't have any green nail polish as I hate green (I swear they're only friends with me so I'll paint their nails) so I finally caved and brought this cheapo one with a great name... it's called NINJA. Best. Name. Ever. I've also wanted a coral for a while so got the 2true shade 3 (creative name, I know) although I've never tried any 2true polishes before, so don't know how well it applies and I find the bottle weird looking.

Next I brought some new blushes, I'm kind of obsessed with blush atm, and a brush (just a superdrug home brand one) as the brush I was using had seen better days. The Natural Collection is called Pink Cloud, Collection 2000 is called Breathless (cheesy name or what!) and the NYC is Pink Cheek Glow. I've been after some more day time blushes, as the ones I have now are more night out and these are perfect for the day.

Now on to lips. The lip gloss is Natural Collection Cherry Drop, you can't see in the picture but it's glittery. The lipstick in the blue is 17 Belle and it's just a standard day lipstick, nothing really that special about it. Now the lipstick in the purple, I am in LOVE! It's Rimmel Lily Extase (what the hell does extase mean?!) and it looks amazing!! It's replaced my Rimmel Red Fever as my new fav lipstick.

  It even matches my nails!

I told you I brought a lot, haha! Next up is Max Factor Smoky Eye Effect Eyeshadow in Bronze Haze. So I never normally wear eyeshadow as without my glasses on I'm pretty much blind, it's a struggle just to put on mascara! Without my glasses my eyes just look like grey blurs and I can't even see the mascara stick! How I manage to not get it all over my face is a mircile. Anyway, I really love the smoky eye effect, but because of the blindness I could never do it... until now! I can totes do the smoky eye with this, even though I can't see what I'm doing! Yes!

Ok, that's it for now, I actually brought quite a bit more but I'm to lazy to post the rest. Sorry for another long post! I hope you all are enjoying today and that the whole rapture/impending doom isn't putting a dampener on things. :p

Major Shopping Spree!

I'm just going to apologise in advance, there is a lot of writing and pictures in this post! I've had very little human contact in the past week (thanks to revision) so I have a major case of verbal diarrhoea! Haha, oh dear!

You have no idea how good this cookie was.

As I've been revising so hard for my exams (and by revising I mean putting colourful post-it notes on my work and highlighting things for fun) I thought some nail polish shopping was in order! Because I deserve a treat, right? Maths has to be the most draining subject EVER! If you don't have a death wish, don't do a maths degree, that's all I'm saying. Anyway, so I splurged and brought 5 nail polishes (and cookies)!

I tried to take a pic of these in sunlight, but it's raining... boo!

Here's them in a different light.

As you can tell by the label they're Accessorize nail polishes, the one to the left is called Pink Spice and it's pink with gold and orange tones in the sun. The one to the right is called Bronze and it looked better in the shop, it looks kinda gross now, hopefully it'll look better on my nails.

I LOVE this one, I've been after a purple this shade forever, but I haven't been that successful in my search. It's Gosh Wild Lilac.

A nail polish haul just isn't complete without the Barry M. Words cannot describe my love for Barry M. Anyway, the one on the left is called Peach Melba and it just reminds me of holidays to Spain, if I was going on holiday this year this is deffo the polish I would wear. The one on the right is called Strawberry Ice Cream.

All of them together!

I also brought Max Factor Lipfinity Lasting Lip Tint. Not really sure why, just thought it looked cool and I needed something else to buy as it was 3 for 2 in Boots. LOVE IT.

I wasn't to sure what to expect with this, but I tried it out and it smells nice and it's super fun to apply, it's like colouring in your lips with a sharpie! I brought in it shade 03, whatever that means...

But wait, there's more still...

I brought some black shoes today also (my bank account is crying after today) because I don't really like the plain black shoes I have now and these are SO MUCH CUTER!

They're from Dorothy Perkins if anyone was wondering...

I also brought a pink stapler (won't show you a pic of this though, unless you want me to, haha) and some pressed power from Collection 2000 in Ivory, because my Natural Collection one makes me look ORANGE, not that that's a challenge though as I'm as pale as can be, which is a shame as I love the Natural Collection one. Hopefully the Collection 2000 is just as good and doesn't make me look orange...

This is the last pic, I swear!

If anyone has read all of this incredible long, boring post I am truly sorry for writing so much and I love you for reading it all.
