Summer Gradient

I'm baaaaaaaaaaack!

So I haven't posted in a disgustingly long time, I blame college and having to have short unpainted nails for it! Oh the joys of training to be a beauty therapist. When I go back in September though I'll be learning acrylic and gel nails and the likes so I'll be blogging about that, wooooh! So excited about that!

Anyway on to the nails, over the summer all I've had on my nails is Essie Mint Candy Apple (OBSESSED) or another pastel colour, nothing really blog worthy in my opinion. These nails are pretty much the first time all summer (and it's nearly over) that I've done anything remotely creative on my nails, I almost can't deal with how non-pastel they are!

Polishes I used where:
Barry M - Bright Purple
Miss Sporty - unnamed pink polish
Accessorize - Orange Flash
Miss Sporty - unnamed yellow polish

Gold With A Side Of Injury

Hey! Just a quick post today, as I am currently only able to use my left hand to type, thanks a lovely big burn on my right hand/wrist, which makes typing sooooooooo slow! I used Accessorize Cinder Rose, Barry M Foil Gold and BM-204. And once again I really need to stop taking photos at night and relying on my crap flash...

Bandaged up, sore arm :(

Snake Print?

Hey! I can't believe I haven't posted in over a week! I'm such a bad blogger! Today I have a snake print mani. Well I think it looks a bit like snake print, my sister disagrees though :P First I started off with MissGuided Missbehave, then sponged on Gosh Wild Lilac and Barry M Bright Purple. I stamped BM-215 with Barry M Gold Foil on top and used a matte top coat. Hope you like it. :)

Purple and Silver

Hey! Kinda loving this mani, even with my shorter than short nails, and loving how amazing well the Barry M Instant Effect Foil polishes stamp! I can tell I'll be using them all the time! Although I do wish the gold one was more of a gold colour... Anyway, the purple is NYC Prince Street (which is my favourite purple polish evah), used Barry M Instant Effect silver foil and the BM-212 plate.

Cute As Cupcakes

I can't believe I haven't posted in a month! It makes me sad! The reason I haven't posted in aaaaaaaages is because I started a college course and I'm doing beauty therapy! Which is pretty excited, but I'm not allowed to have my nails painted and my nails have to be kept short :( So I haven't really bothered with my nails and when I did do them I never took a picture of them. I have a few manis to upload over the next few days though, gotta get into the blogging swing again :)

The purple is Gosh Wild Lilac, the plate is BM14 stamped with White Konad Special Nail Polish and the cute little pink gems are from ebay.

The cupcakes match my pyjamas! :D

Late Pink Wednesday

Hey! I'm so bad at posting my Pink Wednesday nails on Wednesdays, oops! But better later then never eh? For this mani I was inspired by Vettelicious, as I always love her mani! Mine looks no where near as good as hers though. A few of my nails were a little messy and didn't like how they turned out, but I did like the polka dots and glitter! Polishes I used where Missy Sporty nameless pink (Y U NO NAME POLISHES?!), NYC Prince Street and Accessorize Ruby Sparkle.

Left hand:
  Awkward hand pose is awkward.

Right hand:

I really hate the scar on my thumb :/

I ordered some more BM plates and they came today (YAY!), I'm so excited to try them all out!

Leopard Obsessed

Hey everyone! I'm a bit obsessed with leopard print at the moment, so I have another leopard print mani to show you, haha :P I was lacking inspiration so I took inspiration from here. The polishes I used were Berry Ice Cream and Blueberry Ice Cream both by Barry M, then used Black Konad Special Nail Polish to stamp BM-221.

Shatter It Up!

Hey! You know when you think your nails are dry but they actually aren't, so you carry on with other things like normal, and then you look down at your nails and they're all a bit scuffed? Well this happened to me the other day when I was getting ready for a night out and I only noticed my nails were ruined minutes before I had to get the train. It was so annoying and stressful! So I quickly put some white shatter on top, then some glitter and ran for the train like a mad man! Luckily I made it just in time and did a top coat on the train, but from now on I'm defiantly going to leave more time before going out for my nails to dry :P

The nail polishes I used where: Natural Collection Lunar Haze, which is a GORGEOUS purple duochrome but it's very sheer so I did a layer of Barry M Boots Limited Edition first (Lunar Haze will get it's own special post sooner or later, because it's such a stunner). Then on top is Barry M White Shatter and a unnamed Bourjois glitter polish.

Mixed Up

Hey! Yesterday my mum, sister and I went to the Zoo (which was super fun) so I decided I needed animal print nails for the Zoo. I had no idea what kind of animal print to do though, so as I was googling to get some ideas I saw this mani and I just knew I needed to do my nails like it!

For the gradient I started off with 2 coats of MissGuided  MissBehave, which I got free in a Cosmo magazine years ago but have never actually used it, then I sponged some Barry M Berry Ice Cream diagonally and finished it off with sponging Rimmel Aqua Cool on top. The plates I used for the stamping is BM-221 (leopard) and BM-223 (zebra) with Black Konad Special Nail Polish.

Blingtastic Pink Wednesday

Hey! For this Pink Wednesday I was in a bit of a sparkly mood, I wanted bling and I wanted sparkle... so that's exactly what I did, haha! This was my first time putting gems on my nails, and boy is it fiddly business! Took me forever to get the flowers looking right! The pink is an unnamed Bourjois polish, as you may know I hate when polishes don't have names!!! Then I did 2 coats of Collection 2000 Sparkle Top Coat and  I added some gems which were from ebay.

I got bored of all the flowers and decided to just have a green line of bling on my thumbs, kind of like a flower stalk. (I was trying to stay within the flower theme...)

P.S. I can't believe I've got over 100 followers! Thanks to everyone who's followed me and reads my posts! I love you all!

Glitter Gradient

Hey! Today I have for you a glitter gradient! I've been waiting all day for the sun to shine so I could take a decent picture, but alas Mr Sun decided to stay behind the clouds so you can't see the holo goodness of the glitter. The silver glitter is Models Own Juicy Jules and the purple is Accessorize Ruby Sparkle. I can tell you now, I'm REALLY excited to take all this glitter off :P

Nail Fail

Hey! I love when my titles rhyme :P I've had no time for blogger lately and it makes me so sad, I need to find more time for it! Anway, today I have for you a nail fail, I just hate how the blue isn't pastel like the other colours! In hindsight a lighter blue would have looked better but I wanted all the polishes I used to be Barry M Ice Cream polishes. The polishes are Barry M's Berry, Blueberry and Stawberry Ice Cream with a coat of Collection 2000 Sparkle Top Coat on top.

Stripes and Flowers

Hey! Just a quick post from me today as I have to rush out. All the colours are Barry M, apart from the green which is a fraken. So enjoy!

It's so annoying to take pictures in the sunlight when Seche is your topcoat, it's just too damn glossy!

Flower Power

This mani is a bit of a fail, but I'm going to post it anyway. I saw this really cute mani Sharon at Polish Infatuated posted and I fell in love with the flowers, I was wondering how to do it but luckily she linked a tutorial by Jessie at Jelly's Nails (both are really great blogs, you should check them out!) and so I decided to give the flowers a go. The base colour is Barry M Blue Moon and the flowers are Barry M Berry Ice Cream and Barry M Peach Melba.

I think this would have turned out better if I wasn't so heavy handed with the dots.

I Wanna See Your Peacock, Cock, Cock

I've had Katy Perry - Peacock stuck in my head aaaaaaaaall day, so I thought why not do something peacock inspired and I've really wanted to use the peacock-ish image on the BM-212 plate for a while. The base colour is Rimmel Green With Envy (I love this colour so much), then blue Konad special polish for the stamping and dotted with a lilac Miss Sporty polish. I wish the dots had turned out better, but I didn't have the best lighting when doing it and you can hardly see the blue stamping, in hindsight I should have probably used black instead.

I didn't realise until after I finished this mani that there's not a lot of lilac in peacock tails... :P

Vampy Franken

I love this franken (and so does my mum, I can tell she'll be stealing it), it's full of purpley, red, shimmery goodness! I don't really like just plain nails though, but I can't think of what to do on top of it, especially what colour to go on top! So what does everyone else think? Maybe gold? Ideas please!

First Time Gradient

It's Pink Wednesday time! I finally got around to trying out gradient nails, because I love them! Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the gradient before I stamped because I got to impatient waiting for my camera to charge. I used Barry M Shocking Pink, Bright Purple and Cyan Blue, but you can't see the purple that well. The plate is BM-205.

Purple Glitz

Today's mani is NYC Prince Street with NYC Gramercy Glitz on top. I'm really into purple nails atm, and as I haven't tried Prince Street yet I thought I would give it a go and then of course I needed some glitter on top. At first I thought Gramercy Glitz was just a peach glitter, but to my surprise it's this gorgeous blue and pinky/peach glitter, in the bottle it really doesn't show the blue!

I've also made 3 frankens today, it's kind of addicting! Swatches of those will be up tomorrow. I have 2 more empty bottles, just don't know what kind of franken to make! Any ideas?

Failed Glitter Leopard Print

So I thought I'd go for a glitter leopard print mani, because I love glitter and I also love leopard print, only I don't have many full glitter nail polishes. So I went for my Barry M blue glitter and my Accessorize Ruby Sparkle as I liked how they looked together, only I discovered once they were on my nail there was no enough contrast between the two and it ended up not looking very good. Annoying!

The black I used was Accessorize Idol. I'll probably try this again some time, as I really love glitter leopard print, I'll just have to use some different glitters and hopefully it will work out better.

Aztec

Unpacking is the most depressing thing ever, I have 4 big black bags filled with shoes and clothes I don't wear any more, my wardrobe is full and I have a whole suitcase left to unpack, how do I have so much stuff?! I have 3 big boxes and 3 smaller boxes left to unpack too, basically my room is a complete tip, BUT all my nail polish, make up and jewellery is all unpacked, as it was the first thing I did, haha! Anyway, enough of me moaning about my packing woes, today's nails are Aztec from Accessorize, which are a cool green/purple in some lights.

There are some bronze hints to it as well, but I couldn't manage capture that. This kind of polish is hard to show in pictures!
