Addiction

Hi my name's Lydia and I'm addicted to Essie Mint Candy Apple. I've only had this polish for a few months and I've nearly got through half a bottle. Yes I have a problem. So of course I had to have mani with Mint Candy Apple, because it being on my toes is just not enough for me so I decided to go for this little striped and floral number. The lines could have been neater (luckily the flowers cover those up though :P) but I don't have the steadiest hands in the world... aahhh I hate doing freehand stripes so much!

Polishes I used:
Essie - Mint Candy Apple
Konad Special Nail Polish - White
Collection 2000 - Ninja (best name ever, flower leaves)
Barry M - Peach Melba (Flowers)
Essie - Braziliant (Flowers)

Going Dotty

Hey! I'm stuck in bed with such a terrible cold, this is why I hate winter! It needs to be sunny and hot all year round, yeah I definitely need to move... Anyway, time for my Pink Wednesday post which I think is super cute, although I might be a little bias ;) The tips are Barry M Fuchsia with some neon pink Miss Sporty polish on top, then I used Konad Special white polish with BM-19.

French Tips and Fake Tattoos

Hey! I forgot to take a picture of this particular mani but luckily I managed to find a shot of it from a night out a week ago. My friend somehow won some fake tattoos so drunk me put a few on, so I'm afraid the only picture I have has a fake tattoo on my wrist, which I find rather amusing! I just love the lips on my nail, so cute!

Obscure picture is obscure.

I promise you'll actually be able to see my nails properly in my next post!

Rainbow Animals

Hey! Today I have a post inspired by the amazing Cristina at Let Them Have Polish, if you haven't checked out her blog yet you really have to! Of course, mine looks no where near as amazing as hers, but I tried! I used BM-221 and BM-223 with Konad Special Polish, but I don't remember all the colours I used. :P

Happy Halloween!

Hey everyone! I hope you all having a greet Halloween and have been dressing up! Unfortunately I'm suck in bed with a migraine, so no Halloween for me, boo! But I did go to a Halloween party on Saturday, so I'll post a picture of me in my little outfit as well as my Halloween nails. :P

This mani is my first splatter I've successfully done, so I'm pretty happy with the results, but I did feel pretty breathless after all that blowing, haha that sounds totally wrong but I don't mean it like that! :P I used Barry M White, Bourjois Rouge Escarpin as the blooooooood and BM-12 for the chains with Konad Black polish.

And here's me in my Halloween costume, I'm a dead bride. My husband killed me, how rude!

Bulletproof

Hey! I have a bit of a weird mani today. I don't really do yellow nails (apart from their natural yellow stained colour :p) but I saw this mani on a blog (don't remember which one) ages ago and have been meaning to try it out ever since. They look a bit like gunshots, right? Because that's what I was going for, haha. The yellow is an unnamed Miss Sporty polish (I have said it a thousand times, but Miss Sporty NAME YOUR POLISHES!), the black and white are the standard Konad stamping polishes and the plate is BM-202.

Smelling Of Roses

Hey! Two posts in two days, aren't you guys lucky ;) I've had such an obsession with grey nail polish recently, I just feel like that's the only polish that looks good on my short nails. I don't know why but when I look at this mani I think of Quentin Tarantino, which is a bit weird. The grey is an unnamed H&M polish, the pink is Revlon Bubble Gum (which is scented) and I stamped BM14 with White Konad Special Nail Polish.

Cute As Cupcakes

I can't believe I haven't posted in a month! It makes me sad! The reason I haven't posted in aaaaaaaages is because I started a college course and I'm doing beauty therapy! Which is pretty excited, but I'm not allowed to have my nails painted and my nails have to be kept short :( So I haven't really bothered with my nails and when I did do them I never took a picture of them. I have a few manis to upload over the next few days though, gotta get into the blogging swing again :)

The purple is Gosh Wild Lilac, the plate is BM14 stamped with White Konad Special Nail Polish and the cute little pink gems are from ebay.

The cupcakes match my pyjamas! :D

Don't Get Lippy With Me

Hey! As soon as I saw the lips on my new BM plates I knew I needed a silver mani with red lips! I wish my nails were long/the lips were smaller so I could fit more than one lip on each nail, when my nails are longer I'm so going to be doing this mani again! The polishes I used were Barry M Silver and Red Konad Special Nail Polish with BM-02.

Leopard Obsessed

Hey everyone! I'm a bit obsessed with leopard print at the moment, so I have another leopard print mani to show you, haha :P I was lacking inspiration so I took inspiration from here. The polishes I used were Berry Ice Cream and Blueberry Ice Cream both by Barry M, then used Black Konad Special Nail Polish to stamp BM-221.

Mixed Up

Hey! Yesterday my mum, sister and I went to the Zoo (which was super fun) so I decided I needed animal print nails for the Zoo. I had no idea what kind of animal print to do though, so as I was googling to get some ideas I saw this mani and I just knew I needed to do my nails like it!

For the gradient I started off with 2 coats of MissGuided  MissBehave, which I got free in a Cosmo magazine years ago but have never actually used it, then I sponged some Barry M Berry Ice Cream diagonally and finished it off with sponging Rimmel Aqua Cool on top. The plates I used for the stamping is BM-221 (leopard) and BM-223 (zebra) with Black Konad Special Nail Polish.

One Of Those Days...

Do you ever have one of those days where stamping just doesn't go right? Well today I had one of those days, I had to stamp all my nails like 3 times and even now I'm not happy with the results but I've given up for the day as it's far to frustrating, espically as my stamping was so perfect the other day. The blue is Barry M Blueberry Ice Cream, the yellow is a nameless Miss Sporty (NAME YOUR POLISHES!!!) and then I stamped BM-224 with Konad Special Nail Polish in black.

Wild Pink Wednesday

Hey! So today I have for you some leopard print nails with french tips on top! I'm kind of loving them apart from I broke a nail as soon as I had finished! Such bad luck, it makes me so sad and now one of my nails looks weird :( The pink is NYC Fashion Ave Fuchsia, which is sooo pretty! Then I used plate BM-221 and stamped it with Black Konad Special Nail Polish, the tips are also that colour.

OMG, I'm such an idiot, I wrote this post on Wednesday and forgot to publish it, oops!

Pink Wednesday, Yo

Really quick post. My nails look super gross, I really should have cleaned up better! The pink is Collection 2000 Siren, the white and black are Konad Special Nail Polish and the stamp is BM-223.

I'll upload a better picture tomorrow when I'm not under the influence of alcohol.

Birthday Presents and Weekly Haul

For my birthday my sister got me some nail goodies!

Yaaay! Pretty rhinestones! Can't wait to bling my nails out with these!

Dotting tools! No longer will I have to ruin bobby pins, haha.

My mum baked me some super yummy chocolate and orange cupcakes for my birthday, with pink icing of course.

Yum!
Now here's the things I've brought this week:

Barry M Pink Iridescent and Collection 2000 Siren

I'm so excited about this! Look at that holo glitter!

I've been really good at not buying nail polish recently, these are the first I've brought in nearly a month! I'm very proud with myself.

A Very Late Pink Wednesday

I've been such a bad blogger lately, can't believe I haven't posted in a week! I've missed blogging and reading blogs! My birthday was yesterday, I turned 20, so I've been celebrating that all week. I'm feeling very old right now! I have lots of nail posts planned for the next few days though, so I thought I'd start off with my Pink Wednesday nails.

I've seen these butterfly wing nails on a few blogs so I decided to give that a go. Base colour is Siren by Collection 2000, the black is Andrea Fulerton nail pen thing and the white was Konad Special Nail Polish.

Floral Pink Wednesday, So Fetch

I can't believe I haven't posted since Saturday, how lame is that! I've been ill and haven't had the energy to do my nails, but I'm feeling a bit better now, so I have my Pink Wednesday mani for you! It's another floral number, I love me some floral.

The base colour is Barry M Fuchsia, I never really use this polish as I don't really like the colour in the bottle, I've had it for over a year and used it like once, but now it's on my nail I actually love the colour, I'll definitely be using it more often. The pink I used for stamping is White and Red Konad Special Polish mixed together, clever or what! I used BM-221 and it has to be one of my favourite BM plates.

I'm currently really undecided on whether to have this mani matte or not. I have one hand matte and the other glossy and I just can't decide which I prefer! The pictures posted are both with the matte topcoat, I couldn't manage to take a picture of my other hand without the matte, damn my flash being uncooperative! So what do you think, shall I leave it matte or make it glossy?

I Wanna See Your Peacock, Cock, Cock

I've had Katy Perry - Peacock stuck in my head aaaaaaaaall day, so I thought why not do something peacock inspired and I've really wanted to use the peacock-ish image on the BM-212 plate for a while. The base colour is Rimmel Green With Envy (I love this colour so much), then blue Konad special polish for the stamping and dotted with a lilac Miss Sporty polish. I wish the dots had turned out better, but I didn't have the best lighting when doing it and you can hardly see the blue stamping, in hindsight I should have probably used black instead.

I didn't realise until after I finished this mani that there's not a lot of lilac in peacock tails... :P

Leopard Gradient

Today I have for you another gradient mani, and I am in love with it! I used Revlon Bubble Gum (Which is scented, ooo!) then I sponged Accessorize Orange Flash on top. The orange wasn't as bright as I wanted over the pink, maybe I should have done the orange first? I then finished off the gradient mani with the BM-221 plate.

 With flash.

 Natural light.

I luuuuurve gradient manis!

First Time Gradient

It's Pink Wednesday time! I finally got around to trying out gradient nails, because I love them! Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the gradient before I stamped because I got to impatient waiting for my camera to charge. I used Barry M Shocking Pink, Bright Purple and Cyan Blue, but you can't see the purple that well. The plate is BM-205.
