Snake Print?

Hey! I can't believe I haven't posted in over a week! I'm such a bad blogger! Today I have a snake print mani. Well I think it looks a bit like snake print, my sister disagrees though :P First I started off with MissGuided Missbehave, then sponged on Gosh Wild Lilac and Barry M Bright Purple. I stamped BM-215 with Barry M Gold Foil on top and used a matte top coat. Hope you like it. :)

Half Moons

Hey! I've been meaning to do half moon nails for a while now and I've finally got around to doing them! Well that's a but of a lie, I tried doing them a few months ago, did one nail which turned out DISASTROUS so gave up, haha. I like how it turned out this time, but I would have liked it more if the stupid red wasn't so darn thick! And the thickness led to bubbles in the polish, sad face!

The polishes I used were Orly Pure Porcelain and a gorgeous franken red which I really should name, seeing as how I often go on about how I hate unnamed polishes! I also lost my beloved Seche top coat at my friends the other night, I'm blaming that on the tequila, so the only top coat I have at the moment is my matte top coat, which a bit of a bummer.

Floral Pink Wednesday, So Fetch

I can't believe I haven't posted since Saturday, how lame is that! I've been ill and haven't had the energy to do my nails, but I'm feeling a bit better now, so I have my Pink Wednesday mani for you! It's another floral number, I love me some floral.

The base colour is Barry M Fuchsia, I never really use this polish as I don't really like the colour in the bottle, I've had it for over a year and used it like once, but now it's on my nail I actually love the colour, I'll definitely be using it more often. The pink I used for stamping is White and Red Konad Special Polish mixed together, clever or what! I used BM-221 and it has to be one of my favourite BM plates.

I'm currently really undecided on whether to have this mani matte or not. I have one hand matte and the other glossy and I just can't decide which I prefer! The pictures posted are both with the matte topcoat, I couldn't manage to take a picture of my other hand without the matte, damn my flash being uncooperative! So what do you think, shall I leave it matte or make it glossy?

Blue On Blue

I really love subtle stamping where the pattern is a similar colour to the base, so I gave that a go! Base was Zoya Phoebe, which I LOVE, don't have a pic of that on my own though but I'm sure everyone knows what that looks like anyway, then stamped it using BM-225 with Konad Special Nail Polish in blue. I really like how it turned out.

Matte!

With Seche Vite.

Weekly Haul

Even though I'm not suppose to be buying any nail polish I caved a little this week, but in my defence the nail polishes were either on my wish list or on offer.

I have wanted these Zoya matte polishes FOREVER, so I went on ebay to buy them. So exciting to try these out!

I brought 3 Miss Sporty nail polishes, as they were on offer and they're apparently good at stamping too! I finally got around to buying Seche Vite, although I did accidentally drop it and spill some of it on my carpet and slippers, so sad!

Ombre nails!

I've been loving all the ombre looks Sonja at Happily Polished has posted and really wanted to give it ago, so here's my go at it, I think her ombre looks turned out better than mine though.

Then in the evening, as my nails were looking worse for wear, I put Models Own Smash-Up Silver, which shatters no where near as good as Barry M, so disappointing.

Colours from thumb to little finger:
Blue Moon - Barry M
Blueberry Ice Cream - Barry M
Cyan Blue - Barry M
Cobalt Blue - Barry M
Navy - Barry M
Then I put Maybelline Express Finish Diamonds - Flash Cosmic (which gives the weird blue glow) then topped it off with a matte topcoat.

How ugly are my nails now they're short?! I had to take off my fake nails as unpacking with them was just annoying! 3 days and I'm no where near finished! So depressing.

Make Up Haul

So I think I might have brought a little to much this week, I'm blaming exam stress though and the fact maths is REALLY depressing. So here's what I brought:

I ran out of my matte top coat, so I brought another one. I've wanted a yellow since my last one dried all up and went horrible and I've finally got around to buying a new one, it's called Sunshine, how cute! My friends ALWAYS moan that I don't have any green nail polish as I hate green (I swear they're only friends with me so I'll paint their nails) so I finally caved and brought this cheapo one with a great name... it's called NINJA. Best. Name. Ever. I've also wanted a coral for a while so got the 2true shade 3 (creative name, I know) although I've never tried any 2true polishes before, so don't know how well it applies and I find the bottle weird looking.

Next I brought some new blushes, I'm kind of obsessed with blush atm, and a brush (just a superdrug home brand one) as the brush I was using had seen better days. The Natural Collection is called Pink Cloud, Collection 2000 is called Breathless (cheesy name or what!) and the NYC is Pink Cheek Glow. I've been after some more day time blushes, as the ones I have now are more night out and these are perfect for the day.

Now on to lips. The lip gloss is Natural Collection Cherry Drop, you can't see in the picture but it's glittery. The lipstick in the blue is 17 Belle and it's just a standard day lipstick, nothing really that special about it. Now the lipstick in the purple, I am in LOVE! It's Rimmel Lily Extase (what the hell does extase mean?!) and it looks amazing!! It's replaced my Rimmel Red Fever as my new fav lipstick.

  It even matches my nails!

I told you I brought a lot, haha! Next up is Max Factor Smoky Eye Effect Eyeshadow in Bronze Haze. So I never normally wear eyeshadow as without my glasses on I'm pretty much blind, it's a struggle just to put on mascara! Without my glasses my eyes just look like grey blurs and I can't even see the mascara stick! How I manage to not get it all over my face is a mircile. Anyway, I really love the smoky eye effect, but because of the blindness I could never do it... until now! I can totes do the smoky eye with this, even though I can't see what I'm doing! Yes!

Ok, that's it for now, I actually brought quite a bit more but I'm to lazy to post the rest. Sorry for another long post! I hope you all are enjoying today and that the whole rapture/impending doom isn't putting a dampener on things. :p

Tape Mani

So I thought I'd give a tape mani a go, it turned out okay, not the best but good for a first time. It's so fiddly though, almost had to ask my sister to do my left hand. I used some random brown nail polish and cyan Barry M, which has to be my fav shade of blue I have (and I have like 15 blue nail polishes!) then it's topped off with my beloved matte top coat.

Sorry it's a bit scruffy. For the middle finger I switched the colours around, didn't give the effect I hoped for though. Oh well, you live, you learn.

Marbling Fail

So I attempted marbling today and it went TERRIBLY. Why do youtube tutorials make things seem soooo easy when they're actually really hard?! Although I suspect the nail polish I was using was the main reason it didn't turn out well. Here's a pic anyway, I gave up after 3 failed attempts.

Sorry for the flash.

I also decided to add white shatter tips to my nails and here are the results, I'm pretty happy with it.

They look quite eastery, don't you think?

Shatter, Shatter, Shatter!

Today I brought the blue and white Barry M shatters. Finally my collection is complete! Super happy to finally find them in a shop and not them being sold out, as per usual. Whoop whoop.

Aren't they so pretty?!

So of course I just had to try them out as soon as I got home and here's the pink over some blue polish, with a matte topcoat, as I luuurve the matte.

I'm really tempted to put the white shatter on top, might do tomorrow or Saturday.

First Post!

So I thought it was about time I made a nail blog, seeing as I am completely obsessed with nail polish. I think I might even have more nail polishes then shoes, which is a shocker!

Seeing as this is a nail blog I thought I'd start things off with a cheeky pic of my nails from last week. I'd show you a pic of my nails right now but they are complete crapo seeing as I've been too busy revising to do my nails. So anyway, I think this effect looks AMAZE, but my darling mother thought they were ugly (she must be blind). Basically I did a pink coat (BarryM, my fav brand for nail polish), then a sneaky coat of the new 17 crackle nail polish, then some BarryM black shatter on top. I think it looks pretty cool. I also put a matte topcoat on top (I am OBSESSED with matte atm) and this is the end result!

P.S. I never know how to place my hands when taking pictures of my nails, however I place my hands just looks super awkward!
